Susan McIntyre art exhibit set at Lavender Fields Sept. 16-18

All are invited to Lavender Fields near Milton to enjoy an exhibition by local artist Susan Macintire from Friday to Sunday, Sept. 16 to 18. The collection on display features both original paintings and reproduction prints.

Macintire is a painter and pastelist residing in Lewes. Her bold shapes, adventurous color palette and keen sense of texture are key to her signature style. The former nurse began her artistic career painting wildlife and has expanded her subject matter over time. Her body of work largely reflects the sights and lifestyles of lower Delaware, with still life arrangements, coastal sea life views, and seascapes and landscapes of iconic local spots. To Macintire, each subject has its own personality which she brings to life.

She said, ”I try to bring movement into each painting. When I see it move, come to life, I know I'm on the right track.” 

Lavender Fields is open daily from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 18864 Cool Spring Road, Milton.
