Sussex Democrats hold annual Jamboree

September 19, 2023

The Sussex County Democratic Committee held its annual Jamboree Sept. 16 at Cape Henlopen State Park’s main pavilion.

Politicians celebrated party unity over barbecue, entertainment and other fun. The event gave the public an opportunity to see local, state and federal representatives.

One of the major fundraisers for the Sussex County Democratic Committee, the event supports qualified candidates in Sussex County.

People holding and seeking positions in all levels of government attended to speak with constituents, including Gov. John Carney, Sens. Tom Carper and Chris Coons, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester, Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long, State Treasurer Colleen Davis, Insurance Commissioner Trinidad Navarro and others.
