After Sussex Gardeners President Dianne Shawley conducted the business meeting at the club’s May 16 gathering, a white elephant plant swap took place. Each participant donated up to three potted plants and was given a numbered ticket in exchange for each one. As the numbers were called, the ladies chose a plant from the display or “stole” one from another member. The lively activity continued until all had replaced their donated plants with new ones.
