Sussex Tech work-based learning students earn awards

Two Sussex Technical High School students were honored May 7 during the American Builders and Contractors Delaware Chapter Student and National Safety Training Evaluation Process Awards ceremony in Newark.

The awards are presented to students from Delaware vo-tech schools who have shown outstanding academic achievement and completed a successful co-op program with an ABC member.

The Sussex Tech student honorees are Trey Ruark and Ethan Schoap.

Ruark’s work-based learning employment is with A.P. Croll & Son Inc. He is a student of carpentry and construction management technologies, and heavy equipment technologies. 

Schoap’s work-based learning employment is with Preston Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Millsboro. He is studying automotive technologies.

Sussex Tech students in their senior year have opportunities to work in their career technical education area to gain experience for future employment.
