Sydney’s restaurant collecting school supplies through Aug. 25
For the first time, Sydney’s Restaurant and Lounge in Milton will serve as a drop-off location for school supplies for the Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation’s Caravan of Caring.
CHEF officials want to ensure that students from low-income homes or those who are experiencing homelessness have supplies they need to be successful in the classroom. CHEF is also collecting monetary donations for technology and virtual needs for low-income students.
Materials needed include notebooks, binders, pocket folders, zip drives, loose-leaf paper, composition books, colored pencils, Crayola crayons, glue sticks, scissors and ear buds.
Supplies will be accepted through Wednesday, Aug. 25.
Sydney’s is at 16388 Samuel Paynter Blvd. in Paynter’s Mill, Milton. Other drop-off locations include Lefty’s Alley & Eats near Lewes, and Schell Brothers and Staples near Rehoboth Beach.
Monetary donations can be made payable to CHEF and mailed to 1270 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958.
