Taking time out to read the Gazette at Cape of Good Hope in South Africa

January 20, 2024

John Engel and S Brookes of the Independence community in Millsboro enjoyed an amazing trip to South Africa recently. Here they are shown catching up on news from back home while stopping at the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa. According to Wikipedia, the Cape of Good Hope is one of the great capes of the South Atlantic Ocean, it has long been of special significance to sailors, many of whom refer to it simply as “the Cape”. It is a waypoint on the Cape Route and the clipper router followed by clipper ships to the Far East and Australia, and still followed by several offshore yacht races. The trip also included whale-watching, a safari, and more than a few winery visits.
