Three local students win 2024 Sussex County pageants
On the evening of Nov. 2, three young girls from the Cape Region won titles at the annual Sussex County Pageants held at the CHEER Center in Georgetown.
Savannah Howard, daughter of Jeffrey and Beth Howard of Lewes, was named Little Miss Sussex County.
Alice Baich, daughter of Dane and Alexa Baich of Rehoboth Beach, was named Juvenile Miss Sussex County.
Jorja Truitt, daughter of Jamie and Susanne Truitt of Rehoboth Beach, was named Junior Miss Sussex County.
Areas of competition included a private interview, on-stage formal wear, talent and fitness (junior miss only). The pageant began in the year 2000 as a fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic Inc. The winners will serve their communities throughout the year by helping with service projects.
