Big Chill Surf Cantina hosted the sixth annual Sling N’ Squash in its parking lot Nov. 11. Dozens of contestants competed for respect and cash – $250 for first, $100 for second and $50 for third.

In the men's division, Collin Healey finished first, with Cody Monoger in second and Aaron Shahan in third.

In the women's division, Tiara Collins defended her title with a first-place finish. Dawn Snyder finished second and Becca Anderson finished third.

The event was started as a way to keep alive the pumpkin-tossing tradition, started by Punkin Chunkin years ago, in Sussex County. This year, pumpkins were donated from Fifer Orchards.

Recognizing the event was taking place on Veterans Day, half of each participant’s $30 registration fee and a portion of sales went to the Wounded Warriors Project.
