TKo Hospitality Management hosted its annual Knockout Award recognition ceremony Feb. 19 at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Dewey Beach. TKo partners E. Thomas Harvey III, Kostas Kalogeropolous and Vince DiFonzo recognized managers and associates who actively embraced the company culture of C.A.R.E: community service, accountable to partners, respect for each other and excellence in all they do.

The awards recognize associates who go above and beyond in fulfilling company culture with guests, owners, fellow associates and the communities they serve.

Among those recognized with Knockout Awards were Michael Schlegel, hotel manager at the Hyatt Place Dewey Beach; Annie Benjamin, housekeeping attendant at the Hyatt Place Dewey Beach; Phyllis Smith Tiller, guest service agent at the SpringHill Suites Newark; Maria Rodriguez, executive housekeeper at the SpringHill Suites Newark; Corinne Harrington, front office manager at the Surf Club Oceanfront Hotel; Patty Jackson, assistant general manager at the Hotel Monte Carlo Ocean City, Md.; and Philippe Lespangol with TKo Hospitality. Also recognized at the celebration were Jeffrey Straub and Kathy Quimby, who recently were named Front of the House Associates of the Year for the Delaware Hotel and Lodging Association. Both Straub and Quimby are associates at the Hyatt Place Dewey Beach.

"We believe that people are the heart of our business, and we are extremely grateful and proud of the team we have built at TKo. Our TKo Knockout Award winners are the best of the best that bring our culture of CARE to life," said Vince DiFonzo, president and chief operating officer for TKo Hospitality Management.
