Two films and Met Opera to open at Cinema Art Theater

Starting Friday, Oct. 15, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater will present “The Rescue” and “Bergman Island.”

“The Rescue” follows the group of elite cave divers who risked everything to save the lives of a group of 12 boys and their soccer coach after they became trapped deep inside a flooded cave in Northern Thailand in 2018.

“Bergman Island” is a seductive drama that follows a couple who retreat to a famous isle in the Baltic Sea in order to find motivation for their art.

Admission is $8 for members and $11 for nonmembers. Patrons can find complete listings of screening dates and times, and purchase admission online at rehobothfilm.com. If seats are available, entry can be paid at the theater starting 30 minutes before screenings.

The Metropolitan Opera: Live in HD broadcast of Mussorgsky’s “Boris Godunov” opens Monday, Oct. 18. Patrons should note that screenings are held at the Cinema Art Theater and will be shown as a recorded presentation after being filmed live.

Admission for The Met: Live in HD broadcasts is $25 for adults; $22 for film society members, Met members, and seniors 65 and older; $15 for students with ID and children 12 and under.
