UNICO Delaware outreach programs continue

April 12, 2021

With one of its national goals being service above self, UNICO members remain faithful to helping those in need, in individual efforts or in cooperation with other charitable organizations.

Among recent efforts, UNICO Rehoboth gave financial donations to the Knights of Columbus in support of the 40 Cans for Lent food drive, and to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, which provides food and financial assistance to local residents in need.

Members and volunteers prepared Easter baskets to be donated to a local homeless shelter. Filled with candy and items necessary to help the children remain safe, 36 baskets were donated to nurse Toni Short, director of Lighthouse for Broken Wings.

The Rehoboth Area Chapter of UNICO remains active and will continue to assist those in need. Regularly scheduled monthly meetings will resume in September, if conditions allow, but the service to others is continuous. Members are contacted via email with program updates and cultural activities.
