Unitarian Universalists to celebrate Music Sunday June 3

May 26, 2018

The Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware will celebrate Music Sunday at 10 a.m., June 3, when Dr. Marcelle Schiff and the choir present Music and Meaning: Why We Sing. In this special all-music service, the choir will perform some of their favorite pieces from the past seven years, reflecting on how they have been touched by each selection and what singing means to them. From gospel and folk to Latin, patriotic and pop, the experience of singing can stir deep emotions and connect people to their past, present and future.

Schiff holds a master of music degree from Westminster Choir College of Princeton, N.J., and a doctoral degree in music education from Boston University. She is an active adjudicator, clinician and performer.
