UUSD social and environmental justice panel presents grants

The Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware Social & Environmental Justice Committee recently announced the 2025 Roy Parks Memorial Social Justice Grant recipients.
This is the fourth year of a five-year grant program made possible by the bequest of UUSD member Roy Parks to the S&EJC program. The grant subcommittee includes Jan Daily, Roy Parks’ estate executor, Mac Goekler and Vicki Nichols, who fulfill the bequest by annually awarding funds to organizations whose justice work serving Sussex County aligns with UUSD’s principles and resolution of conscience.
This year, three grants of $2,500 each were awarded. Checks were presented to all three organizations during the first week of June.
