Village Volunteers’ Harvest Hustle 5K returns Sept. 20
The Village Volunteers invites the community to join its 2nd Annual Harvest Hustle 5K Run/Walk Saturday, Sept. 20, at Cape Henlopen State Park.
The fundraising event will help support the organization’s mission to assist older adults in the greater Milton, Lewes and Rehoboth Beach communities in aging in place with dignity and independence.
This year’s event aims to engage more families and multigenerational participants. Beyond the race, the day will feature a food truck, raffles from local businesses, games and race awards, while raising awareness and funds for Village Volunteers’ work.
“We’re excited to bring the community together for this fun and impactful event,” said Anna Moshier, executive director of Village Volunteers. “The Harvest Hustle 5K is a great way for local residents to get involved while supporting their older neighbors. The funds we raise help ensure that area seniors can safely and comfortably age in place. We encourage families to come out, enjoy a day of fitness, fun and connection, and help make a difference in the lives of their neighbors.”
