Vote for my husband, John ‘Jack’ Bucchioni

August 12, 2022

As his wife and best friend, I am compelled to make the passionate case for your Democratic Party vote Tuesday, Sept. 13, to be John Bucchioni. Please allow my voice in this rare opportunity to win the coastal Senate 6th District open seat vacated by retiring Republican Ernie Lopez.

For years, I have been a Delaware activist, advocate and attendee at Democratic meetings. I have witnessed Jack aggressively fighting for the greater good of the people in the coastal Sussex County area.

In a phrase, Jack has shown up in his many elected roles, for years, to personally amplify and fix various constituent needs. Many times he is the one lone Democratic Party voice in the wilderness.

Now that this is an election year, many of the predictable politicos from Sussex County elections lost have surfaced again at the midnight hour to marquee their names in the Cape Gazette. I truly ask you to look toward John “Jack” Bucchioni, a proven electable winner, to deliver the open Senate seat for team blue in ‘22. It’s time for the coastal Sussex beach areas to have a seat at the government table in Dover.

My short list focus of late I want to share:

Overbuilding in the coastal Senate 6th District is a shameful dismissal of local comprehensive plans. It must be slowed down. While Jack is sensitive to the affordable housing and homeless plight, he questions legacy leadership still running the show. Jack favors bringing in new ideas from community leaders as a vision of the future fix

Jack has been a strong advocate for a woman’s right to choose, being endorsed by Planned Parenthood in 2017. I was a patient advocate for Planned Parenthood going to Washington to address the federal senators and representatives, thus am very proud of his clear commitments

He has been a strong advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, having a campaign staff heavily represented with members from the Senate 6th District community. He is proud to accept the recent endorsement of Rehoboth TransLiance (our local trans community). A member/supporter of CAMP Rehoboth, he has worked consistently for a fair society of tolerance, equality and health/insurance rights for all

Jack believes enough is enough for gun safety. He was endorsed by the Sandy Hook Foundation in 2018

Jack is dedicated to bringing fairness, justice and changes in the Delaware criminal justice system, focusing on reform rather than punishment

He has fought for sustainable environmental protection, demanding action for our coastal communities.

As Jack’s closest observer and volunteer, I believe he is the best candidate to win the general election. He has the proven leadership results, organization and my vote for sure. Please join me and support my husband John (Jack) Bucchioni Tuesday, Sept. 13, in the primary election.
