Waste Management donates $5K for DSU scholarships

August 15, 2018

Waste Management of Delaware, a contractor that provides trash and recycling services to Delaware State University, showed its support by donating $5,000 to go toward scholarships.

Paul Beane, the Waste Management representative who is the main connection between the university and the company, presented the check July 27 to Rosetta Brickhouse, executive director of DSU Facilities Operations, and Howard Gibson, associate director of custodial and grounds services. Joining Beane and the DSU officials for the check presentation was Judy Diogo, president of the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce.

Waste Management is the largest environmental solutions provider in North America and has a significant presence in Delaware. The company made a donation in the same amount toward DSU scholarships in 2017.
