The ribbon cutting and grand opening of The Wellness Center on 20268 Plantation Road in Lewes was held Feb. 28.

The Wellness Center houses a variety of educational opportunities for people to explore multiple healthy disciplines and educational opportunities. The Wellness Center is the culmination of the work of Dr. José and Catherine Pando to provide state-of-the-art healthcare in a supportive environment that allows members of the community with auto immune diseases to be empowered participants in their healthcare.

The new building houses Delaware Arthritis and Premier Physical Therapy, as well as others providing healthy lifestyle disciplines. Premier Physical Therapy will be open for appointments and demonstrations. They also have offices in Middletown and Wilmington.

Dr. Pando did his residency and internship at Yale University. He has fellowships in rheumatology at the National Institute of Health and Georgetown University.
