Westland Remembers opens advance planning office in Lewes

July 9, 2020

Westland Remembers Inc. has opened an advance planning office in Lewes.

The company provides personalized, long-term beautification and maintenance services at a family’s grave site. Westland is now offering confidential, personalized pre-planning services for client families of elder law, estate and trust attorneys; major financial institutions; financial managers; and the general public.

As an additional service to its existing client families, Westland has been assisting families with final arrangements for some time now. Westland Remembers now also has assumed the role of agent and representative for families wishing to celebrate a loved one as only they wish for it to be at the time of their passing.

“Planning ahead is a thoughtful decision that helps reduce the stress of indecision and uncertainty when a death occurs. It is also a natural part of estate-planning decisions, such as wills, purchasing life insurance and creating trusts. Many people plan ahead to make their wishes known to their families and to reduce the burden on them; some people plan ahead because there is no one else available to make responsible decisions. The sense of uncertainty is greatly reduced when arrangements are made with Westland Remembers in the privacy of one’s home, offices of one’s estate, trust or elder law advisor, or Westland’s offices,” said Philip G. Haddad Jr., Westland president.

Westland’s fee structure is predicated on an hourly basis determined at the time of the initial consultation.

“We at Westland believe that there are no two funerals alike. A life worth living is a life worth remembering. And you do not get a second chance to say goodbye to a loved one – it must be right,” said Haddad.
