What is going on with Tiger?

February 13, 2015

The last two tournaments for Tiger Woods have been unbelievable to watch, in a bad way. In the off-season he said he was as healthy as could be expected, and that he was happy with his new swing. So his terrible short game performance, in the two events he has played so far, was very surprising. To make things worse he has back problems again! I hope he does not turn out to be the golf version of Bo Jackson. He has decided to take a short break from competitive golf. I would expect him to come back to play in the Masters since he has said that is his favorite tournament. Time will tell and the pundits will analyze it over and over and over. So please come back soon Tiger!

Oh, and by the way, I also want to add that Phil Mickelson is NOT done with winning tournaments! People are acting like Phil is 65 instead of 44 years old because he missed two cuts. This notion is crazy to me.

In a very unfortunate story, the Chicago Little League team that won the US Championship had their title stripped away this week because it was found they used ineligible players during the entire Little League World Series. At least some of the coaches should be embarrassed for dragging the kids through inexcusable mess! I hope the kids get to keep the memorabilia and trophies they received for their performance in the tournament. The adults who did this is another very serious matter!

Five days and counting until Spring training baseball officially starts. I would be shocked if Cole Hamels is traded at this time from the Phillies being this close to the start of the baseball season. I think that the signing of James Shields to the San Diego Padres will help as well. San Diego is Hamels' hometown, so that would have been the most likely landing spot for him this close to the season. Now the Phillies have to do well enough to keep him in their roster!

Stay warm everyone. I will not be going outside this weekend! BBrrrrrrr!!!
