William ‘Larry’ Rea, DuPont retiree
William "Larry" Rea, 63, of Millsboro, formerly of Wilmington, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at his home.
Larry was born in Wilmington June 7, 1948, son of William and Margaret (Conrad) Rea.
Larry retired from the DuPont Experimental Station in Wilmington in 2009 after 45 years of service. He also was a charter boat captain of the Osprey out of Lewes, and a member of the Bay Area Hot Rods.
In addition to his mother, Margaret Rea of Millsboro, Larry is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Connie (Gray) Rea; three children, Micheal Stewart, Jennifer Potesta and Jeff Rea; a sister, Donna Palmer; three grandchildren, Nicole, Madison and Anthony; and a great-granddaughter, Avah.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Larry's name to the Georgetown SPCA, 22918 DuPont Hwy., Georgetown, DE 19947 or the Alzheimer's Association of Sussex County, P.O. Box 625, Georgetown, DE 19947.
