William Francis Springer Jr., avid outdoorsman

William Francis “Bill” Springer Jr., 70, of New Castle, passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2022.

Bill was born in Wilmington, Oct. 16, 1952, son of the late William Francis “Tim” Sr. and Gertrude Rachel (Sapp) Springer. Bill made his career for over 20 years with Herman Brooks Sporting Goods. Then, he worked as a sales representative for TruGreen Lawncare for many dedicated years.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed bear hunting and fishing. He especially looked forward to deer hunting with his dear friend, Jim Remaily. Bill was very kind, generous, and had a great sense of humor.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Ann (Grabowski) Springer; sister, Tootie Springer and her partner Sandi Snowberger; brothers-in-law, Joey Grabowski (Karen) and Bobby Grabowski (Wanda); sister-in-law, Helen Houser (Tim); nieces, Tory Grabowski and Tara Grabowski; dog, Cocoa; and cat, Isabella. 

The family extends their sincere gratitude to Jasmine Howe and the caring staff at ChristianaCare.

All services will be held privately.
