Women’s Club of Milton plants tree for Arbor Day

June 10, 2019

The Women’s Club of Milton recently celebrated Arbor Day by planting a wildfire black gum tree in Milton Memorial Park. Specifically selected for its ability to tolerate soil conditions at the park, the wildfire black gum tree is known for its vivid color, especially in the fall.

Since the late 1800s, Arbor Day has been a day set aside throughout the world to recognize of the importance of trees in the ecosystem. The WCOM members are happy to contribute this tree, not only to enhance the beauty of Milton, but also to add to the enjoyment of the Milton community.
