Worcester Prep students inducted into Cum Laude Society

The William E. Esham Jr. Chapter of the Cum Laude Society at Worcester Prep welcomed 11 new members during a ceremony in the Guerrieri Library April 17.

The inductees include in back (l-r) Jack Walinskas, Ocean Pines, Md.; Henry Taboh, Fruitland, Md.; Max Huber, Berlin, Md.; Frank Carter, Lewes; Andrew Stickler, Lewes; and Eli Prushansky, Salisbury, Md. In front are Kathryn Marini, Lewes; Delaney Abercrombie, Salisbury; Gracie Gardner, Salisbury; Hannah Merritt, Seaford; and Ellie Todorov, Bishopville, Md. The guest speaker was WPS math teacher Cyndee Hudson.

The Cum Laude Society is a national organization founded in 1906 which honors academic excellence in secondary schools for the purposes of promoting excellence (Areté), justice (Diké), and honor (Timé).
