Work begins at Cypress Grove development

240 units planned at Route 16 and Country Road
April 26, 2022

Site work has begun for a 240-unit housing development on a 26-acre parcel at Route 16 and Country Road in Milton to be known as Cypress Grove.

Work began on the rear part of the property, which runs adjacent to Bay Road, one of the two access points to the parcel. The development is planned to have 144 multifamily homes and 96 townhouse units in 14 apartment-style buildings with 12 to 24 units in each building, along with five acres of commercial property fronting Route 16.

Part of the plans include widening Bay Road from 18-20-feet wide to 22-feet wide and using dedicated right-of-way to build a sidewalk along Bay Road and install a swale to drain the road. Drainage from the roadway would be connected to Cypress Grove’s stormwater management system.

Among the amenities in the development will be two dog runs, a walking path and electric vehicle charging stations. The 26-acre parcel was annexed into Milton in December 2020.
