To help people maintain strong bones and stay independent as they age, Yoga for Strong Bones is coming to the beach.

Ellyn Hutton, BSN, RN, will facilitate an informal discussion on osteoporosis and exercise from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, at the Lewes Public Library. Hutton has trained with Dr. Loren Fishman, who researched the positive effects of yoga on bone density.

Follow-up workshops will be held from 11 a.m to 12:15 p.m., Friday to Sunday, April 12 to 14, at Rehoboth Beach Dance and Company, 19287 Miller Road, Rehoboth Beach. No yoga experience is necessary. Props such as chairs and blocks are provided.

Admission for the library program is free. Cost is $72 for the three-workshop series. Class size is limited, and early registration is encouraged. Ongoing monthly workshops will be scheduled.
