‘Zappa’ opening at the Cinema Art Theater Nov. 27

November 24, 2020

Starting Friday, Nov. 27, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater will present “Zappa,” a musical documentary that gives an in-depth look into the life and work of an American singer-songwriter.

With unfettered access to the Zappa family trust and all archival footage, filmmaker Alex Winter (Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure) explores the private life behind the mammoth musical career of Frank Vincent Zappa. Zappa also never shied away from the political turbulence of his time becoming an outspoken political and social activist. It’s a “Frank” look at the multifarious world of one of the most admired and celebrated musicians in American history.

Screening times are 3 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27; 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov 28; 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 29; 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 2; and 5 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 3. Admission is $8 for members and $11 for future members. Customers are encouraged to purchase tickets online at rehobothfilm.com. If seats are available, tickets can be purchased at the theater starting 30 minutes prior to each screening.
