Zwaanendael Club receives state-level awards for service

In lieu of the traditional May convention held by the Delaware State Federation of Women’s Clubs, and in the style of the Publisher’s Clearing House prize patrol, DSFWC officers met GFWC Zwaanendael Women’s Club members June 2 in the parking lot of Cape Henlopen High School.

DSFWC President Carla Pyle warmly welcomed everyone and presented nine awards for Zwaanendael Club accomplishments during the past year.

The awards included three first-place awards in the areas of education, domestic violence awareness and prevention, and home life. Pyle and her team led members in singing and dancing, six feet apart, to Kool and the Gang’s “Celebration.”

It was a fabulous time for members of the Zwaanendael Club, still serving and improving the community, even from a distance.
