Rehoboth Beach Film Society will present the 40th anniversary re-release and 4K remaster of the enduring fantasy musical “Labyrinth,” opening Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Cinema Art Theater.
When Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) is forced to babysit her half-brother Toby, she inadvertently summons the Goblin King (David Bowie) who whisks Toby away to his castle at the center of a labyrinth. Sarah enters into a bargain with the Goblin King where she is given just 13 hours to solve the labyrinth and rescue Toby, or else lose him forever.
The film features an army of puppets created by Jim Henson, director and puppeteer, and includes a special featurette with footage from the Labyrinth Experience & Masked Ball, a cosplay event held in the United Kingdom in October.
