CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE DIY

CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE DIY is one of the fastest, easiest and most delicious plant-based treats I have ever made. And so I pass along my recipe with this caveat--we choose non-dairy milk and non-dairy chocolate because of the negative impact of dairy products on human, animal and environmental health. Although the chocolate chips in this recipe are VEGAN, they are not HEALTH FOOD. They are still loaded with fat and sugar to be used only in limited quantities as specified. All that being said, we love this mug cake for its simplicity, speed, individual serving size and unbeatable flavor. Enjoy!

CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

(Recipe makes 1 mug cake)

4 TBSP WHOLE GRAIN FLOUR
(We substituted 1 TBSP ALMOND MEAL)
1 TBSP COCOA
1 TBSP DRY SWEETENER, your choice
¼ tsp BAKING POWDER
2 tsp UNSWEETENED ORGANIC APPLESAUCE
¼ cup UNSWEETENED NON-DAIRY MILK

Add above ingredients in 1 mug and mix thoroughly.
Mix in the following
1 TBSP VEGAN CHOCOLATE CHIPS
1 TBSP CHOPPED NUTS (optional)

Microwave mug cake for 1 ½ minutes.
