Winter Indoor League Update
The Delaware Shore indoor league began play on Sunday, January 6th with the Elementary Division games opening the afternoon with the Skins and Eagles playing to a 1-1 result. Mady Lehman had the score for the Skins and Kailey McMahon tallied for the Eagles. Goalies in the game were Blair Chubb and Alayna Martinez. In the second game in the division for the afternoon, the Cardinals earned a 1-0 win over the Ravens behind the score by Lorilyn Marsch. Again the goalies were Chubb and Martinez.
In the opening game of the senior division, Eastern and Coker played to a 2-2 result. Carrie Clausius tallied both goals for Eastern while Grace Wiggins and Macy Steinwedel did the scoring for Coker. The goalies were Regan Best and Myla Smith. The second game was a 2-0 win by Roanoake over Queens with Hannah Maney and Maddie Long getting the goals for the winning team. Goalies were Eve Sekscinski and Myla Smith. The final game of the evening was a 2-1 win by Vassar over Ithaca. Aubrie Myers had the goal for Ithaca while Rilyn Lehman and Madeline Pepper scored for Vassar. Regan Best and Myla Smith were the keepers for the game.
Games resume at Milton Elementary School gym on Sunday, January 13th with the first game starting at 12:30.
