show me the money

I guess when spring comes around, I can only think about plants, not that I do anything about it but photograph them, but we have to prioritize!

When I was a kid and I saw this papery seed pod growing out of the ground, I thought "how exotic" and snipped a few for my room decor. They probably stayed there for many years and never once did I think there were seeds in that golden papery pod.

Fast forward to the 2015 Milton Garden Tour, and one of the homes, with a sprawling orchard, reflecting ponds, and a stand of silver dollar/money/honesty plants, or Lunaria annua gave me a little thrill.

  • Photography grounds me and elates me. I am inspired by nature and its perfection. I see things that compel me to take a photograph, things that are ordinary, or small and go unseen by others. This is my purpose as a visual story teller. See my work in the Beach Paper and the Cape Gazette, or visit my website denyhoweth.com.
