Summer League Week 2

 

Elementary Division-The week opened with the Dunes taking a win from the Tides by a final of 3-2. Emerson Allen opened the scoring for the Dunes with a 1st quarter goal but Brynn Evick scored for the Tides at 3:02 making the quarter score 1-1. Tenley Hazzard and Angelina Everett pushed the lead for the Dunes to 3-1 at the end of the 3rdquarter. Evick got her second goal of the game in the 4th quarter for the Tides. The Guards went out to an early two goal lead with a pair of goals by Macy Wheatley to end the half 2-0. Ellis Hay scored for the Waves pull within a goal at the end of the 3rd quarter but another pair of goals by Wheatley make the final 4-1.

On Wednesday, Vivian Bolden and Ellis Hay (2) did the scoring to give the Waves a 3-0 win over the Tides. The Guards earned a 2-0 win over the Dunes behind a 1st quarter goal by Wheatley and a 3rd quarter goal by Ginny Key.

Senior Division-

 

The week started with the Baffins shutting out the Corals by a final of 3-0. Hailey Moore opened scoring with her 2nd quarter goal at 2:20, Lacy Bayley followed with a goal in the 3rd quarter at 7:37 and Teagan McCord finished the evening with a 4th quarter goal at 2:42. The Bengals had a huge outpouring of goals to defeat the Pumas by a final of 7-3. Amanda Fruman (3) and Emma Westbrook (4) did the damage for the Bengals while Kaylee Hall and Rilye Cordrey (2) had the goals for the Pumas. The nightcap started with Riley Patro scoring in the 1st and 2ndquarters for the Artics while holding the Seahawks in check for the opening half. Julianna Sterling got a 3rd quarter goal at 4:30 to pull the Seahawks within one before the roof collapsed in the 4th quarter. Sam Swift and Chloe Wood finished the scoring to make the final 4-1 for the Artics.

On Wednesday, the Bengals earned a 3-1 win over the Seahawks. Greilly Fuentes and Emma Westbrook (2) had the goals for the Bengals while Sterling had the solo goal for the Seahawks. After a slow start in game two, the Baffins exploded for six goals to shutout the Artics. Sommer Dorman, Abby Kane, Teagan McCord (2) and Hailey Moore (2) did the scoring for the Baffins. In the closest game of the evening the Pumas managed to eke out the win when Kaleigh Cordrey score at 2:36 of the 4th quarter breaking the tie of 1-1. Avery Congeton had scored in the 1stquarter for the Puma lead but Maddie Wilber evened the score with her goal in the 2nd quarter at 6:00.
