Del Res welcome birth of son

Proud parents Capt. Amanda Del Re, née Bellistri, and Mike Del Re welcomed their first child, baby boy Rocco James Del Re Jan. 14, 2016, at 9:59 a.m.

Rocco weighed seven pounds, three ounces and was 20 inches long at birth in Reynolds Community Hospital at Fort Sill, Okla., where the family is currently stationed.

Proud paternal grandparents are Lt. Col. (Ret.) James and Jeanette Del Re of Fort Worth, Texas. Maternal grandparents are Brenda Bellistri of Lewes, and Jerome and Virginia Bellistri of Rehoboth Beach.

Amanda is a 2002 Cape Henlopen High School graduate.  The family will be moving to Newport, R.I., this summer where Amanda, who is a major-select, will be attending the Naval War College.
