How long you have been living in the area?
"I've been here for 25 years full time. I moved down full time when my son started kindergarten. But I have been visiting the area for almost 28 years."
What is your favorite thing about living at the beach?
"The ocean. Plain & simple."
How did you get involved with your business/profession?
“I went to art school in Washington. My husband was in the jewelery business in DC. I started working with him and realized I was good at the trade. We expanded our business and had a store in Union Station in DC and also Penny Lane of the Rehoboth Ave. We have had many stores together but they became a lot of work. We agreed on keeping Bella Luna together, owned together.”
What is your favorite thing about your business/profession?
“The freedom & creativity; The ability to search out new items and new artisits. There are very limited rules with boutiques as compared to a Shopping Mall. I also really enjoy the seasons of business and being able to plan around this.”
Why did you start incorporating fitness into your life?
“I have always been involved with fitness. I’m on my feet all day constantly. I needed the balance between work and exercise. It is so great that Adam is downtown and very close. It makes it effortless because I am always on my feet to begin with and The Body Shop is a short walk.”
When did you start working out at The Body Shop?
“I used to drive up to Quest before I worked with Adam. When the new shop opened right off the Ave, it was very easy to access and I loved that it was local.”
Why did you pick The Body Shop over competing gyms in the area?
“Supporting small businesses is very important to me. Whenever I can, I support small local business. We both support each other. The Body Shop is clean, it’s convenient, and the staff genuinely cares a lot.”
