Hollywood Invades the Beach event a success at Cape gym

The Duffy's Hope Hollywood Invades the Beach celebrity basketball game drew hundreds of spectators and autograph seekers April 16 at the Cape Henlopen High School gym. Celebrities such as Indianapolis Colt Justin Tryon, actor Clifton Powell, "American Idol" contestants Jimmie Allen and David Archuleta, and actress Alesha Renee thrilled the crowd in the meet-and-greet session as well as on the court as the celebrities defeated local basketball stars 79-78.
Duffy's Hope is a nonprofit organization that provides intellectual, emotional and interpersonal growth opportunities for youth and families through advocacy, education, mentoring and community outreach.
