The Cape Water Taxi is a lovely option to get on the water when it is stinking hot. Every tour I have ever had only goes up the Broadkill River from the Lewes Canal. If you are lucky and the bay isn’t rough you might get a tour to the Delaware Breakwater, I'm still waiting.
