Peter M. Johnson, store stocker

Peter M. Johnson, 36, of Selbyville, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011. Peter was born in Lewes, April 19, 1975, to James and Mary Alice Keith Johnson.

He was a stocker for the Harris Teeter Grocery Store in Selbyville. He was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Selbyville.  He served in the U.S. Air Force, loved guitar and the drums.  He loved his work and was devoted to his family.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his fiance Sarah Pitts of Selbyville; stepdaughter, Miracle Turnage of Millsboro; 11 Siblings, James Chandler and Wife Darlene of Magnolia, Robert Chandler and fiance Pamela Holloway of West Ocean City, Md., Terrance Johnson and wife Julia, Donald Johnson and Wife Alisa, Rebecca Dennis and Husband Quintin, Tabitha Johnson, Lakedia Johnson, Marquis Johnson, Tanisha McCray and Husband Dortez, Jeremiah Johnson, all of Selbyville, and Zachariah Johnson and companion Krysta of Bishopville, Md.  He is also survived by special friends and cousins, Kevin Custis, Eric Tull, Steve Jones and Aric Carney, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Monday, May 9,at Calvary Pentecostal Church in BishopVille, Md.,  where friends may call after 10 a.m. Apostle Donald Johnson and Elder James Chandler will officiate the service.  Burial will take place at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
