Vaughan has experience to protect our environment

October 18, 2016

Local and regional government plays an enormously important role in all our lives. It is paramount, then, to make sure our elected officials are competent, experienced individuals who know first-hand the strengths and the challenges of the community. Decisions are sometimes made at a state level by those who don't have the on-the-ground working knowledge needed to both grow and protect our community.

It has become clear, after these recent storms, that a hands-on advocate for wetlands protection, climate change preparedness, clean water issues, and regional environmental and transportation planning is needed desperately.

Barbara Vaughan has demonstrated her mastery of these issues at many a Lewes planning meeting. Her enthusiasm and work ethic are unflagging. She will work with us and for us to preserve the beauty of this community and protect us from over-development. I wholeheartedly urge you to vote for Barbara Vaughan.
