DAR Col. David Hall Chapter inducts members

Wreath laying ceremony set May 30

New members of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonel David Hall Chapter, were inducted in a ceremony at the historic Maull House on Pilottown Road in Lewes, at the May meeting, having fulfilled certification by the national society by verification of proven lineal descent from an ancestor who gave aid to Colonists during the American Revolution.

At 10:30 a.m., Memorial Day, Monday May 30, a wreath laying ceremony will be held at the grave site of Col. David Hall, Revolutionary War patriot, who is buried in Lewes Presbyterian Cemetery, 133 Kings Highway, Lewes.  Sen. Gary Simpson, R-Milford, and Lewes Mayor Jim Ford are special guests. The public is invited, according to Chairwoman  Betty Casseday.
