Dewey Beach kicked off the holiday season with the 2nd annual Dewey Beach Sip And Shop and annual tree lighting over the long Thanksgiving weekend.
The Sip And Shop, held Nov. 25-26 in the Starboard parking lot, was an opportunity for local artists and vendors to connect with shoppers. There was a wide range of holiday gifts and original art in a fun and festive shopping environment.
The annual Dewey Beach tree lighting happened Nov. 26. The free event takes place in the Fifer’s Farm Market Cafe parking lot, near the corner of Bayard Avenue and Chicago Street. There was a visit by Santa and Mrs. Santa, live music, bonfires, refreshments, food and caroling. The event is sponsored by the Dewey Beach Civic League and the Dewey Business Partnership.
