Students from H.O. Brittingham have a Black History Program each year directed by Bevelene Holloman. They brought their program to TFCC and received a standing ovation. Jymayce Wescott did a recitation titled “Faith: A Black History Monologue.” In the recitation, Wescott spoke from the points of view of Rosa Parks, Harriett Tubman and Michelle Obama.
The Rev. John Moore, a youth pastor from Calvary Baptist in Dover, recited Martin Luther King speeches in a realistic way using King’s speech patterns and intonations. He accurately recited “I Have A Dream” and “Drum Major.”
February is Black History Month, and Trinity Faith Christian Center in Lewes held a Black History Program Feb. 26. The program featured music, dance, recitations and black history addresses.
