CHEER Travel Club sets trips starting May 23

The CHEER Travel Club has three exciting, adventuresome trips planned in May and June. A day trip will be held leaving Georgetown at 9 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, to Sight & Sound Theatre in Lancaster, Pa., to see the production of “Jonah.” Attendees will see what it is like to be under the sea and in the belly of a whale. Prior to the show, the group will eat dinner at Hershey Restaurant. The price of $102 per person includes bus travel, show ticket and all-you-can-eat lunch. The bus will return to the CHEER Center in Georgetown at approximately 6 p.m. For reservations, call Robin Greene at 302-515-3063.

Another day outing will be a two-hour lunch cruise to Suicide Bridge Restaurant Thursday, June 15. The Choptank Riverboat Co. will host the cruise. Lunch will feature crab cakes and fried chicken with vegetables, potato and a delicious desert. Cost is $44 per person, all inclusive. The bus for this day trip will depart the Long Neck CHEER Center (next to Grotto's in Long Neck) at 9:30 a.m. For reservations, contact Lori Workman at 302-945-3551.

CHEER will travel to the Canadian Rockies and Glacier National Park from Friday, June 23, to Thursday, June 29. Adventure will abound in Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Columbia Falls, Mont.; Fairmont Banff Springs, Alberta; and Icefields Parkway. Cost is $3,399 double occupancy, $3,369 triple occupancy and $4,249 single occupancy. The bus for the six-day trip will depart from the Ocean View CHEER Center on Cedar Neck Road.
