The Women’s Council of Realtors Sussex County hosted the eighth annual Bras for a Cause June 7 at Ivy in Dewey Beach.

Funds raised benefit the Women’s Council of Realtors, the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and, new this year, the Beebe Medical Foundation. To date, the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition has received over $100,000 from this annual event.

AJ Tazelaar, dressed in a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed outfit and sponsored by the Rusty Rudder, was named the Best Model, raising $807 in tips before the auction began. The award for most creative, a new award, went to Bryan Hecksher’s Alice Through the Looking Glass bra. He was sponsored by Java Juke Box and brought in $1,300. The highest bid went to Tommy Grogan, sponsored by Mann & Sons, and his Top Gun-themed bra for $2,400.

New this year, the Beebe Medical Foundation was one of the recipients for the money raised. The final amount of money raised through the tips and auction was unavailable by deadline.
