Margaret C. Allen, devout Catholic

Margaret C. Allen, 89, of Milton, passed away at Milford Place with family members and Hospice by her side Saturday morning, July 22, 2017.

Margaret lived in this area since 1992 but has visited and used the area as a vacation spot since 1952. She and her husband of 49 years moved from Delaware County, Pa., to Broadkill Beach to make Milton their permanent home in 1992.

She was a member of the Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Claude Lee Allen; brothers Hugh Buffington, Frank Buffington and Earl Buffington; sister, Rose Ralston; mother, Helen C. Buffington and father, Frank Buffington, both of Milton.

She is survived by her oldest son, Dave and his wife Maryann Allen, Jim Allen, and youngest son, Claude and his wife Janet Allen. She is also survived by her sister, Helen and brother-in-law Robert Stant; brother Paul Buffington; brother-in-law Sandy Ralston; sister-in-law Joan Buffington; grandchildren: Ryan and wife Jamie Allen, David and wife Catherine Allen, Dean Allen, Jonathan and wife Kelly Allen, Kyle Allen and Kelsey Allen; and great-grandchildren: Jake Allen, Zoey Allen, Luke Allen and Cobie Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Elizabeth "Liz" for all of the love, care and dedication you gave to Margaret.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 28, at 10 a.m., at St. Jude's, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes.
