Sussex County Master Gardeners held an open house, A Day in the Garden, Saturday, Sept. 16, at the University of Delaware Carvel Research and Education Center near Georgetown. A special focus was on breast cancer awareness with pink flowers and a special patio area emphasizing the theme. Mini workshops were held throughout the day along with vendors with an emphasis on gardens. Master Gardeners were on hand to talk plants and how attract bees and butterflies to the gardens.
