Robert E. Campbell Jr., retired mason
Robert Eugene Campbell Jr., 56, of Ellendale, passed away at his home Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Mr. Campbell was born in Milford, the son of Betty Jane (Edwards) Campbell and the late Robert E. Campbell, Sr.
He was a 1972 graduate of Milford High School. He began his career in masonry by subcontracting with Nanticoke Homes for 15 years. In 1987, he established his own business, Campbell's Concrete Masonry, which he continued to operate until his retirement in 2009. He was a member of the Georgetown/Ellendale VFW Post 2931 and the Milford Moose Lodge. In his spare time, he enjoyed skeet shooting, hunting, shooting pool and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Campbell; three children, Christine Campbell-Baker, Robert E. Campbell III and his wife Nelda, and Michelle Campbell-Miller; three sisters, Paula Herber, Linda Dorey and Patti Catalano; eight grandchildren; his companion, Donna Zigler; and his best bud, Buddy.
A Celebration of Robert's Life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 23, at his home at 13311 Beaver Dam Road, Ellendale. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
