Delmarva Christian Schools holds student scholarship banquet

November 8, 2017

Delmarva Christian Schools held their 16th Annual Student Scholarship Banquet Oct. 12 at Delmarva Christian High School's Arts and Athletic Center in Georgetown. More than 350 guests gathered to enjoy food from Marilyn's Catering, fellowship, testimonies from DCS community members and alumni, and entertainment provided by the DCS Worship Ensemble.

The evening concluded with messages delivered by Mark Cathy and Dot Richardson. Cathy is a Chick-fil-A manager in customer experience and grandson of Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy. Richardson is a former international softball player, Olympic gold medalist, physician and current head softball coach at Liberty University.

The DCS Student Scholarship Banquet serves to support the Accessible Tuition Program, providing access for more families to an excellent Christ-centered education by calculating a tuition rate that matches each family's unique financial situation. ATP positively impacts 40 percent of Delmarva Christian's student body. Without this program, these students would not have had the financial resources necessary to attend Delmarva Christian Schools. To date, funds raised from this year's banquet have topped $250,000.

The mission of Delmarva Christian Schools is to proclaim the gospel by preparing students spiritually, academically and physically to know and do God's will in their lives. For more information, call 302-856-4040 or go to www.delmarvachristian.com.
