Nicky’s Review: The actors in this film did a terrific job and the landscape of the film is beautiful. I found it to be a good human story. As a result of being at war many of the characters in the film try to understand the darker feelings within themselves. It’s about what they did to others and what others have done to them. What it does to a person’s spirit. Their journey is very harsh as they encounter each trial. Many of the characters eventually find an answer and conclusion to their feelings. Most of the film is grim, and it is definitely not for everyone, so, I have to say this film is a toss up recommendation, a Suggestion...With the links below Research the film further to assist in your decision. Hostiles: Film/Synopsis:
In 1892, legendary Army Capt. Joseph Blocker reluctantly agrees to escort a dying Cheyenne war chief and his family back to their tribal land. Embarking on a harrowing and perilous journey from Fort Berringer, N.M., to the grasslands of Montana, they soon encounter a young widow whose family was killed on the plains. The travelers must now band together to survive a punishing landscape that's crawling with hostile Comanches and vicious outliers.
