Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats announced a new event series called Beers with Bryan, a one-of-its-kind question-and-answer session at the Rehoboth brewpub inviting off-centered ale enthusiasts to chat about beers, while enjoying beers, with Bryan Selders, brewing ambassador. With only 12 spots available each session, Beers with Bryan will be hosted in a casual, laid-back setting where guests can talk to Selders about all things beer, along with learning more about the brewing process, food pairing, the fresh culinary ingredients Dogfish uses in its beers, Rehoboth brewpub exclusives, Dogfish Head history and more.
Tickets are priced at $15 and include two specially selected pints of beer paired with delicious snacks, and a pint glass to keep. Upcoming Beers with Bryan sessions at the Rehoboth brewpub are set for 6 to 8 p.m., Mondays, Feb. 5, March 5 and April 9.
Selders first joined Dogfish in 2002 and has enjoyed a two-decade-long career in the brewing world, including his last stint with Dogfish Head as the head brewer. During this time, many Delaware locals, Dogfish fans and all-around beer geeks came to know him from his involvement in the 2009 documentary, “Beer Wars,” or from his appearance on the 2010 Discovery Channel hit show “Brew Masters.” Selders, aka DJ Little Guy, and Sam Calagione, aka Funkmaster I.B.U., also CEO and founder of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, are founding members of The Pain Relievaz, the world's one and only beer-geek, tongue-in-cheek, hip-hop ensemble. The Pain Relievaz rocked the mic for years, dropping an inaugural album in 2003 and a sophomore album in 2005.
For a couple years, Selders took a short break from his Dogfish family as he explored creative endeavors in the graphic design world and management roles in the brewing industry. In 2017, Selders returned to Dogfish as brewing ambassador where he champions the Dogfish Head brewing spirit at the Rehoboth brewpub while working to share the good word about off-centered beers far and wide through his travels promoting Dogfish.
