Jesse L. Williams Jr., U.S. Navy retiree

Jesse L. Williams Jr., 53, of Felton, transitioned from this life Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving wife.

Jesse was born May 23, 1964, in Germantown, Pa., to Jesse Williams Sr. and the late Betty Ann Brown. He graduated high school in 1982. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy April 25, 1990, and became a career serviceman, retiring from the Navy April 30, 2010. He received recognition and honors for Kuwait Liberation and Global War on Terrorism. His duty stations were with USS Nimitz, NAF Atsugi, USS Kitty Hawk, Whidbey Island Fire Department, and USS Abraham Lincoln.

He enjoyed watching football games, singing karaoke, playing video games, playing softball, and spending time with his family. Jesse is remembered as a loving husband and devoted father.

On February 24, 1995, Jesse married Ms. Judy Hanopol. They had three sons: Jubbie, Laurence James and Jimmy.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories his wife of 23 years, Judy; sons, Jubbie (wife, Jeri Lee), Laurence James and Jimmy; father, Jesse L. Williams Sr. (wife, Avon); brother, Richard (wife Ivy ); sister, Tresa; grandchildren, Jheian, Jad, Lauren and Ruthie; and a host on nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Military Honors Service for ABH1 (SW) Jesse L. Williams Jr (Ret) will be held Tuesday, March 6, at 2 p.m., at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Chapel, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.
